Im looking for a text editor, The same as WDF's post editor.

http://www.htmlarea.com - This only works in IE. That doesnt help.

What im looking for is a text editor for the <textarea> tag. It doesnt have to display your changes, it must just be able to add the HTML tags to your text etc. It would be nice if it was wysiwyg.

    Thanks

This one does. It's not the easiest thing to jump into but works nicely once it's all configured.

It does work pretty well. There are a few issues with it though. I cannot seem to get images, or hyperlinks to insert. But in IE these functions work.

In FF, the error I get is : function undefined. Anyway, I still like it :classic:

I had that same problem. There is a patch for it somewhere, IIRC it's a variable that's been capitalised in the wrong place.

I'll see if I can find it. Meanwhile have a look at the sourceforge help forums for the project, there's loads of info and help in there - http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=379487.

I read about this today, http://www.themaninblue.com/writing/...ve/2005/01/27/

"widgEditor: A simple, standards-compliant WYSIWYG HTML editor"
Haven't tried it yet, but the sounds out clean, standards compliant HTML sounds rather tasty, no?
