    i think i know what's going on....
    mac IE doesn't accept "overflow-y:", but it does on a pc.

    i was having problems with my site on mac IE, i think that is why.

    if you could help me out, please go to
    www.solverstechline.com in IE and let me know if the text appears to go too far outside its div, or if it is properly contained now with both horizontal and vertical scrollbars....

    i think there's no way of avoiding the scrollbar on a mac.
    thanks,
    -averan

    Yes - as I've mentioned before - I've corrected this by adding to the body tag width: 98% - this got rid of that annoying scrollbar.

    I saw your website and in IE on PC it has just the scrollbar on the right hand site - firefox however displays the small display area with the bottom scrollbar.

    I don't exactly know what you want to get but if you add to your div (#textbox) overflow-y: scroll; instead just overflow: scroll; then you will get rid of your horizontal scrollbar in the text area.

    As I said - I don't exactly know if this is what you want to get rid of.

    Take care,

    Scabro

    <body scroll=no>

    that code does work, but you have to put it at the very top of your HTML document or whatever you are using.

    This is my sisters site and i coded it for her. Its still not done but the point is i used a body tag and it worked. Sometimes it depends on where you put a code to if it works or not.
    Kudos
