    Hi,

I'm looking for help in choosing a name for my company. We deal win the following areas:

    Web Design
    Web Hosting
    Network Installations
    Machine Maintenance

But cannot think of a name for it, at the moment we are trading as Voluntary IT Solution, as we only dealt with the voluntary sector but as we have expanded to other areas, E.G Home and buisness the name is no longer relevant.

    Some ideas i have had:

    Web Illusions
    Static Solutions
    Stratacomm
    GenDesign
    Commlink
    GenComm

I hope that someone will be able to help me as i would like to start the chnages as quickly as possible, in order to get rebranding down and finishing with the site rebuild.

I tried, I really did. It's just so difficult to find a good name that is not taken these days. I was lucky last week in purchasing notionwebdesign.com

The only think I came up with for you is webnetmaintenance.com. It's not the best name, definitely not the worst, but I don't know if it fits your company at all.

    I tried.....

    How about something like these:

VABITS -- Voluntary and Business IT Solutions

    or

VAPITS -- Voluntary and Professional IT Solutions

Both of these are available as .com domain names!

    VPITS is also available.

Why not go for the .com? (or can't you because you are in the UK)

    Eddy ...

    In Bloomington eh?

I was also lucky in finding a simple name that nobody had picked yet.
My daughter named Caitlin ... I tease her, calling her "catpin" ...
well, I discovered it was not yet taken (I don't know why) ...
So I registered the domain "catpin.com".

Lol, you can still get .com's if you're in the UK you know! You don't have to be in the USA. All ".com" stands for is "commercial business", generally worldwide. ".co.uk" stands for "UK Commercial Business". Basically, .com is not only for Americans!

    Well, I realize that ...

I was just wondering if he specifically wanted ".co.uk" for some
reason. I see a lot of U.K. businesses doing that.
