If there's a public_html folder on the server, are you uploading into that?

I'll try - what's the URL of your site and what server folders are listed when you open your FTP client?

    Also what's the name(s) of the file(s) you're uploading?

The info on the holding page states to add your pages to /var/www/html/.

Have you managed to locate that directory? Sometimes there is more than one www folder (don't ask me why).

What directory is your FTP client defaulting too? Occasionally you need to go up a level or two to find the folder you need.

It'll only automatically open that page if you name it something that the server recognises as a 'start' page. Usually the accepted names are, index.php, index.htm, index.html, default.asp, default.html and default.htm, but browsing straight to the page construction.html should show it if it's there.

To go up a level usually you click the folder with an up arrow in the directory tree of the server files. If there is no html directory in the www folder on the server you could try creating one (usually right click -> create directory) and putting your file in there to see if that helps.
