Here is my dilemma. I have two computers, one is a laptop, the other a PC. On one of the computers I have Windows Security Centre installed, the other I haven't. On the computer that has got Windows Security Centre installed lots of my JPEG thumbnails are not visible on my website. It's just there aren't any photos there . The table cell has collapsed. On a laptop that hasn't got Windows Security Centre installed, everything is okay. I just cannot work out what is going on. I have tried turning off the Security Centre but it really doesn't make any difference. I was wondering if anybody could shed some light on this very annoying problem.

What really puzzles me is that this computer is brand-new, I have only had it a couple of weeks. The same problem also happens on my own a computer that also has Windows Security Centre installed so it does make me think that is where the problem lies.

    Welcome to WDF!

Are you hosting your website from your home PC? OR do you mean when you go to your website from a PC with the WinXP firewall on, you can't see the pics? If the latter, is there a yellow bar at the top of the page? Do you have a link to the site?

This website is too big for my monitor.

Don't worry, I know all about the yellow bar, it's a pop-up blocker and that is the first thing I looked into when this problem started happening. The problem is happening on two PCs, both of them have got Windows Security Centre installed. It does not happen on my laptop which hasn't got Windows Security Centre installed.

I have three websites and they are all affected by this problem, but like I said, it is only on one computer.

My personal website which I am going to refurbish very soon because it is very old is:

    Wooding's Website

The website I have done for my Mothers holiday home is:

    French self-catering holidays

And lastly, a website I only finished yesterday

    Ace

Now here is something strange, if you go to my website (Wooding's website) and go to the page title Brixham, you'll see quite a few photographs. There are about four photographs that had been taken at a different angle to the rest (portrait rather than landscape) I can see all of those but none of the others.

On the ace website, I can see all of the thumbnails on the cookery page but none on any other page. There's nothing wrong with the coding before you start scrutinising the source code. I have put every photo in exactly the same and I can see them all perfectly okay at night and the computer.

Anyway, hope you can come up with an idea. After searching the Internet I have actually found that this is not an isolated problem. I have seen other instances of it but have not managed to find a remedy as of yet.

All those bits you mention look fine to me...

Have you tried a different browser? Could it be something IE is doing?

Here is an update on my situation. I still cannot see any of the thumbnails on brixhamace.co.uk. I also cannot see some of the thumbnails on the French holidays WebSite. Now here is a really weird thing. On my laptop , I can see old photos okay, it is my PC that is causing the problem. Even more weird , is that three other people are also having exactly the same problem viewing exactly the same thumbnails. I have asked lots of other people , and they can all see the thumbnails OK
