Let's say you make a banner in photo shop that is 900 odd pixels wide. It is obvious that it will only fit a resolution of 1024 x 768 . What I have done to try and make a banner fit most resolutions is to make the banner in two parts. I put them into a two columned table with cell spacing and padding set at Zero. The table is set at 100% so that it shows on all resolutions properly. I was just wondering if this is the proper way of doing it, or is there a better way.

    Ironside,
I might not understand the question correctly but even if you split a 900 something pixel wide image into two images, it's width is still 900 something pixels. A table set at 100% width will stretch to fill a browser window if the elements inside are smaller than the window width. But if it contains two images whose total width is 900px, then the minimum width will be 900px regardless of whether the browser is 1024 or 640. Does that make sense? In a nutshell, I'm not aware of any way to make your larger banner appear on smaller screens other than to design it for the smaller resolution. Hope that helps.
