    Hello,

I have never done a term of use or Privacy Policy for a website.

So why do we need one?
How do I get the informations to put on the website?

Also is there anything else that I should know concerning this topic?

    THanks

I'm no expert on the subject, but I think they are for sites where users with acounts and private information are involved.

The terms of use are just what you'd expect them to be. Whenever you register at a forum or an e-commerce site you'll see them. It's easy to enforce them on a forum because you can ban people that overstep them.

A privacy policy is enstated to assure people that their personal information (email address, home address, phone number, etc.) will not be distributed or sold. If you want an example you can go to pretty much any site that involves a user entering their private information and take a look at their policies. Nobody in their right mind would give their credit card information on a site without a privacy policy (and even on some that have one).
