its more advanced than fp but not necessarily harder to use. i, for one thing hate fp. actually im skeptical about all wysiwyg programs but dreamweaver has rather impressed me. i suggest that u use the code view of dreamweaver. its auto indenting and colour coding is good. some extensions can also be downloaded for free at http://www.macromedia.com. u should go through the dreamweaver help. they should have a fair bit of tips there. by tinkering around with the software should actually show u the way to use it i think. i found its user interface easy to understand.

You'll find some tutorials under the 'Help' menu.

However, if you want to learn its full potential, you should buy a book or to. There are a lot of titles available on the subject.

    Two examples:
    http://www.lynda.com/info/books/dreamweavermx2004/
(very easy to read, lots of examples)

(More advanced, covers all aspects of DW)

    Macromedia Tutorials

Go to Macromedia's website and use the tutorials! They are excellent!

Also, I recommend doing more coding than design-view because it is much easier to manipulate your page and make it do exactly what you want it to do rather than what DW wants it to do.

I used to use FP, but once I made the switch, know I would never go back!

    Hope this helps,
    Jeff

I swore by Dreamweaver when I was on windows... I do not know why anybody buys Frontpage, to be honest.
