    Hello,

I am a musician, not a web-designer. I recently hired a web-designer to put a site together. One of the requests I made was that the jpegs I cropped for a 17" screen at a 1024 resolution 'stretch' to fit into a 15 to 19" inch screen, much like you can stretch an image in windows to fit your desktop.

I do not care about pixelization. I experimented with the images using a simple 'zoom in' and 'zoom out' tool. Yes, there was pixelization, but, the feel of the image didn't change. I was ok with it.

The designer provided me with an example of an image that stretched very nicely
in Firefox. However, it does not stretch vertically in IE. And I have no idea how it looks on a Mac platform. The designer said it was a simple piece of javascript he used for the Firefox.

Does anyone know of a workaround. I want large jpegs ( averaging 70k ) to stretch horizontally and vertically to fit 15 to 19" screens in I.E. , Firefox, and on a Mac platform.

    Thanks.
