    Hellow,

My mother asked my to make a site for our own company and i searched all over the net for a nice layout and i found it on www.thecentury.be (be is belgium i think). The layout of that website is really nice and i tried to make it. I did it with frames and the center thing with a layer but the layer only comes in my centerframe so it's not over 2 frames.

can someone explain me how to make it like the site??

    Greetzz
    Thx in advance

    Infiniti said it pretty much.
You need to use Flash. Two ways you can go about it:
    1) Get a book on Flash and go to it
    2) By a template at a template site

You will get far by doing it yourself and learning the ins/outs of Flash, but if you want to get it up quick with a little bit of customization, then go with a template.

The other thing infiniti said is true. Building and designing sites really is "creating" sites. You need to be creative and come up with a look and feel that is your own.
Yes, you can get some ideas from other sites and incorporate them into your site, but to be taken seriously you need to be creative from your own work.
    Good luck with your endeavor..........

What is the company, and what do you sell?

Be careful to create a site that will give visitors a
direct access to your products without any splash screens
or eye-candy ... things that do nothing to sell products.

Flash is nice if it contributes to the process of making money.

Otherwise, stick to CSS and very fast loading pages.
Easy navigation, a shopping cart experience where visitors
can browse and collect things. Secure checkout.

If you're selling tangible items with an inventory of products,
catalog, and credit card processing, you'll be looking at a pre-existing
system such as CubeCart ... and then you'll be customizing the
pages for your own "look and feel".

You'll have to elaborate more on the business itself, before we can
    give you really good advice.

Thanks that you liked the site.

Well since WE created the site i can tell you how it's made:

1 Flash movie which loads other movies with an loadmovie action.

But flash isn't not always the way to go, for this site we chose flash because it's mainly pictures and it's important people see how the hotel looks like before the reserve a room.

You could build almost the same effect with a rectangle background placed in a table or div and place the content over it with another div or table (in the other table).

PS. No music if possible, it's annoying but here the client persisted on having music so...
