I am after a basic html editor that works on a Mac, where I can open a large amount of files in tabs, to do a lot of find/replace stuff. When I was using a PC, I used CuteHTML and it worked a treat, but unfortunately it's Windows only as far as I know (no help to meee).

So, any hints? It's just that trying to do it in Dream Weaver and not having the fastest computer in the world is killing me. It used to be so eaaasy...

Try Textwrangler from Bare Bones. It has some nice features and it's free. I'd recommend trying it out before spending any money.

If you'll still willing to shell out some cash, TextMate seems to be gaining momentum as the editor of choice (At least amongst ROR developers).

The differences are almost negligable. TextMate's extra features, in my opinion, are mostly asthetic. It doesn't have an ftp features either (last time I checked).
