Does anyone know how to protect a field within your site used to send e-mails to you from getting spammed. I have the following contact site on my page and I am getting all sorts of spam through the field option.

    http://www.textbookpower.com/contact.php

Can you integrate those tools where you have to type in the word that appears in a picture in order to be able to send something? How do you do that? Where can I find that program and can I get it for free? Because I have the same problem on my forum, people are posting all sorts of spam.

The image verification is free, and it's called CAPTCHA.

    More about CAPTCHAs

They're helpful at reducing spam, but it's not a 100% effective means of identifying if somebody is human, and it's 0% effective at ascertaining somebody's intentions.

Another thing to help combat spam... Add a line of code to check the origin of the email. If it's not the same as the page of your site, [minicode]else{die;}[/minicode] Hint: it should be the full url of your site.
