Hi everyone, I'm new to the forums and hope you can help me (sorry if this is the wrong place to post this).

I am creating a website for a friend, and am having a small problem with the layers. Basically, the page is made up of a layer with a background image in it, and several nested layers place on top. At the moment, I cannot get the layers to center in a web browser (it just stays wherever I move it in dreamweaver, in this case top left).

Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks, TORN

I'm presuming that as you are using layers and dreamweaver you've got an absolute position, which inevitably (i learned the hard way...) are not going to be in line in all web browsers, your best bet is to switch to <div> tags and use 'floats.'
its not as easy as using dreamweaver design view, but its really not all that tricky!

    Thankyou for the replies!

I got there in the end, using <div> tags like solidgold suggested.

    Thanks for your help
