    Hey guys and girls,
At college today our teacher started talking about a piece of coursework we're currently doing, he advised everybody that we should use Dreamweaver design view, i said this probably wasn't the best idea and he didnt really understand what i ment, i ended up teaching half the class how to use CSS because he had no idea and actually ASKED me to teach the class for him...
I dont know about anybody else, but i think the colleges should at least make an attempt to teach the correct scripts?
This interested me today and i thought maybe you people would be interested?

They should at least teach basic html/css

The rest is just optional fluff, the fact that teacher knows nothing is somewhat worrying.

Any teacher who is teaching a class about web design but recommends you stay in the design view should be fired.

He certainly shouldn't be teaching web design if he doesn't know CSS, I dunno bout being fired though, its not his fault that he's been made to teach it.

As for dreamweaver I hate it and try not to touch it ever, but for classes it is a handy tool to create basic sites quicker especially for folk who know nothing at all, but typing by hand is easier once used to it and helps you learn code much better too.

Yeah, no. Design view is bad for anyone. Doesn't teach people new to it how to do what they're doing, and doesn't actually make anything faster for those who already know what they're doing.
