    Please visit this site called last.fm and can anyone tell me how do they create this colapsing menu style which expands and collapses at the click of a button.

    They're typically called "accordions" and you'll usually need a JS library (like prototype or mootools) to make. They're not part of HTML, they use JS (mostly). It's often a challenge to create proper degradability for them (for browsers with JS off).
