    Hey, I want to create a fourm but I don't even know the first thing into how? I want it to be a site and I was just wondering what all do I need to do to create one? Are there any programs for my computer out there?

    1. You need a web server provider (most ISPs don't like you hosting web pages from home)

    2. You need forum software (vBulletin, Invision are some great ones for the $$$, phpBB is a free alternative)

    3. You need a good topic, with something unique, in order to get (and keep!) members

    Well, you will need to firstly have a domain name and hosting, that is compatable with the forum software. After youdo that I would recommend, looking into vbulletin or phpbb, depending how much you are willing to spend.

    I would personally look into vbulletin, it is the best forum application out there, and although it is the most expensive it is worth it.

    vanilla
    phpBB

    And more ... but I think these are probably the most common

    vBulletin is by no means the most expensive; there is forum software that costs more than $10,000 and there's software that is free.
