right well basically many of you will have seen my struggle to produce my blog/journal section of my website and i've come up with a new and improved version, you can look at the screen shot here
its only very basic at the minute, but its getting there! in the section which is bright blue i intend on developing a nice ajax/flash and xml slideshow which fades between images, what do you guys think to the layout etc?
oh btw, the (main) navigation would be contained in the slideshow, which other more SEO friendly navigation elsewhere
    thanks a lot

Well...it's simple. Not much to comment on without seeing the full-sized version in action.

Solid... I definitely liked where your other site was going. I noticed that you had an seomoz page up on your site. If you are worried about flash only sites being tough (more like impossible to optimize), you're right! I just fought an uphill battle at work with an SEO company that ended screwing up 90% of our copy because of our CIOs freak paranoia with loosing google search rankings even though we rank #2 on a 300k+ term. Right now I am working on a flash site that faces the same problem your is. However there is a slight backdoor. If you add this script then you can still have the search engines be able to index your site and ONLY display the flash content if they have javascript enabled. This offers a flash only site the progressive enhancement benefit and good rankings on your major search engines. Please though, and I mean please be ethical to how you apply this script! When you see how this works you'll understand what I mean by that. Good luck!!!

i agree with filburt, need to see more.

the content is too wide for the text, a col or 2 would decrease the width and improve readbility.

Would like to see a bit more beofre i comment further
