    hey, im just getting into web design using xhtml and css and im using this program called Araneae. It doesnt have all those fancy features that alot of editors do, and i like it clean. I have made a simple css stylesheey called stylesheet.css and i tried putting it into my code but it wont do anything. what am i doing wrong?

    <head>
    <title>Virtual Library</title>
    <link href="stylesheet.css" type="text/css" rel="C:\Documents and Settings\nameyoudontkno\Desktop\foldername"/>

    </head>

    (note, this code is only a fragment of what i have in a browser my text and stuff will show up fine)

    Well your link reference is incorrect. If the HTML file is in the same folder as the .css file then change your code to this

    HTML Code:
    <link rel="stylesheet" href="stylesheet.css" type="text/css" />
