    Hi everyone,

I'm trying to add a 'Print' and 'Email' function to certain pages on our company's website. I already know I should probably add a new stylesheet for print media, but as for adding the functions, I don't know what to do.

I was hoping there's an easy way to do it using Javascript, otherwise, my only other alternative is ColdFusion (which the site is done in).

    Help!

Oh, I never seen the e-mail part.

You cannot use JS to send e-mail I'm afraid.

From what I've seen in other sites' source code, it appears that the 'email this page to a friend' buttons submit to a PHP code of some kind. So, I guess I'd need the ColdFusion version of that.

I have a PHP background so I do not know if this is feasible in Coldfusion.

On each page, set a JS variable to window.location and set a hidden form element to this variable.

Then, that forms action tag will be to a emailing script which will send the page they were viewing to the email address they entered.

The problem with any type of "email to a friend", or "rate my page" ...
is spammers. Unfortunately, they are ruining everyone's online forms
    by hammering them with spambots.

If you create a contact form that gets emailed, you might want to
look into using Captchas or some other "human" determining method.
