Well, it looks like Safari's running on Windows! Steve Jobs announced at WWDC about five minutes ago that Safari would be available to run on Windows. Faster than all the competition, naturally, with the possible exception of Opera, which is also blazing fast.

It should be available at http://www.apple.com/safari

    EDIT: Available now.

EDIT 2: Sorry, I also forgot to mention probably the most significant aspect of this: Safari on Windows and Mac will be identical to the Safari running on the iPhone, and the primary way of extending the iPhone with external apps is supposed to be writing web applications.

Apple today confirmed that the iPhone will run applications created with Web 2.0 Internet standards when it begins shipping on 29 June .

Developers will be able to build Web 2.0 applications which look and behave in the same way as those applications already built into iPhone.

These applications will be able to access iPhone's services, including making a phone call, sending an email and displaying a location in Google Maps.

The effect of this is that third-party applications created using Web 2.0 standards can extend iPhone's capabilities without compromising its reliability or security
    Blazing performance.

Can't wait to get home to see how it displays sites on a wide screen.

I'd also like to find out more info on how you make web apps for the iPhone. How do you activate dialing, or contacts, or whatnot?

Those may just be automatically handled. Or not. I haven't delved into it. But it might be kind of like GMail auto-recognizes addresses and Skype can be configured to auto-recognize phone numbers.

    True.

Leopard server looks nice as well. built in wiki and podcast server It seems as if it'll run on standard Intel software. If it does, that'd be a great basepoint for a slew of new sites.
