    Hey Everyone,

Do you think that it is feasible to use Wordpress for a home page of a website? I'm just wondering as I would like a 2 column website with the second column being news and such. So is it feasible to use Wordpress as a homepage? If not, what are the alternatives?

Sure ... lots of people do that.

You can use it more like a CMS than a blog.

It might require some customization of the skins and what types of
stuff you want on the sidebar ... widgets, etc.

I would say that using it as your main homepage or website, you would
have to determine what your site is all about. Maybe Drupal or Joomla
might be better ... it's hard for us to determine that.

Wordpress is very easy to setup as a CMS, with or without a blog. I find it ideal for small business websites. Add a plugin or two and you have a very powerful system.
