I've started using Lightbox on some sites to give a slieshow effect but have had problems.
If I put the code calling the lightbox script at the top of the page I sometimes in IE6 get an "operation aborted" error message, the computer gives a loud clang and the page bombs out. This is obviously unacceptable!!:disappointed: :disappointed:
To fix this, I moved the code to the bottom of the page as per http://www.uniquewebsites.co.uk/web-...-portfolio.htm
This avoids the "operation aborted" error but - if you try to click on an image before the page is fully loaded in ie6, then the lightbox doesn't work and you just get a blank screen with the image in the top left corner.
This is better than the "operation aborted" error message but it's still not great.
Has anyone else encoutered this problem, and - if so - how did you fix it?
Is there any better software out there for slideshow effects which is free and easy to use?

That's a strange error... I've never encountered that in all the years Lightbox has been available. That being said, look into jQuery and the subsequent plug-in.
