Ok so let me give you the run down on what happened. I am a moderate web designer with medium skills and ability and learning more all the time. I was building a site for a friend with dreamweaver 8, I know there are better design programs but that was what I used. The site worked out well and I loaded to their host server. I made some changes to the site and tried to update the online version and somehow lost everything. Now the original site I had replaced is back in its place? All my pages are gone, my design is gone from the web, and I can't reload it. I have the saved copy on my PC and when I save it to the remote host it says it is loaded and saved but it is still the old site. I Have no idea where it is coming from or why it is there and I have spent the last three days trying to figure it out! I am going nuts! I need any help you guys can give and hopefully I can fix it before they see it is not right. Thanks in advance for any help...

Look at the folder structure via FTP or whatever. Or contact the hosting company and see if they can see where the files went.

    Chris ...

At the top of each post is the link "Private Message".
Click the one on here to send me a private message.

If you want, I will go in and look for you.
You'll need to PM me with your FTP login account info.
Can't promise I can restore your proper files, but I might see
where they went by viewing the directories.

You should learn how to use FTP using a free FTP program like Filezilla.
Using a WYSIWYG editor, like Dreamweaver does things that you sometimes
can't see or understand. Actually going into it using FTP is the way to do it.
