I have an issue with a a spry drop-down menu bar. It should look like this:

In Firefox & Safari it looks fine but in IE looks like this:

    http://i303.photobucket.com/albums/n.../Picture24.png

If it came out like that in Firefox I'd think it was because the div containing the spry bar was too small but that's not the case - you can see the yellow outline of the div in the first pic, and it's bigger than the spry element.

    Any ideas?

Is that ie6 or 7 or both? It's almost always margin and/or padding with ie6 and even sometimes 7. DW does a pretty good job making those spry menus work in everything, until you mess with the css. Have you tried making the div a little wider? Start with 20px wider first. If that fixes it, then it's a width problem. Hopefully you can make it wider without messing up your layout. If not, you may need a ie fix.

If the site is live, can you post a link so I can tinker around with it?

That gave me the clue I needed, I had messed about with the CSS to cure an earlier problem, managed to make it look right now. However, the dropdowns still don't dropdown.

I am using a mac, so IE runs out at version 5.2, so I don't know if it's just the hopeless outdatedness of it.

Here's a link to the page - could you tell me if the dropdowns appear in your version of IE? I'd appreciate it, cheers!

IE6 is messed up as far as layout, but the menu is working correctly. IE7 looks good .

If id="" doesn't come BEFORE class="" in the outermost <ul> declaration it messes everything up in IE. I figured this out after 6 months of messing with my code. try it, hope it helps.
