    Hi everyone,

I've tried to learn to hand code instead of using a WYSIWYG editor like dreamweaver. So I've typed up a small web site code in textedit, and I copied and pasted it into dreamweaver's code area. I'm sure the coding is right, it checked out on several different validators. But nothing is showing up in the design side, so that I can see what I've done. Is there anything I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks for help.

What happens if you save it in a folder as something like "index.html" and then you
try to open it using IE or FireFox browser? I'm not a DW user, but maybe DW needs
something special (for itself) to view it?

Yeah I'll try that, I haven't tried saving the file yet, so I'll check that out. Thanks for the idea!

If you put the code in, you should see it in design view. Make sure the file has am html extension. DW does need some sort of web extension to work.

Just make sure your code is within the Body tab. If you type code to show text, it will show up. If you intend to call external source, like video, it may show blank.
