i was curious all the sites you see out there that offer website that you make and manage yourself. Are they using a program or a script or a CMS
Homestead.com for example what is it that they are using and how are they making it so simple that even someone who knows nothing about web design can make and maintain there own website?

Yes, it's called CMS (content management system), but it actually can go
a bit further than that. They might have some WYSIWYG editors that allow a
user to insert some HTML stuff, without knowing HTML. That falls into a different
category than plain text content editing.

So making a website and managing content are really two different things.

You'll have to decide how much control the end-user has over their site.

Then, the idea of hosting other peoples' websites is a whole different topic.

okay well what i need is this and maybe there is some kind of program out there like this.
I already host a number of peoples websites what i need is something that is more like a WYSIWYG for the user when they log in to edit there site as none of them know any scripting what so ever. So i need something where someone who knows nothing about website design can go in and edit there site by themselfs with little knowledge of understanding how it works maybe more of a drag and drop or something that will let me enter my own templates that they can easily change to make their own site out of what is aready there.
Is there something like this or close to this that you know of?

That's going to be a huge script.
I can't imagine you'll find anything like it for free, and even with that,
you'll need a ton of customizing to make it work the way you want.

I guess you'll have to wait and see if anyone has seen something like this.
I'm not much of an expert on WYSIWYG editors.

They might be using this program to let the users have their own site and not having headaches using html codes and javascripts.
