Hi everyone, I'm new here and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction for my situation.

I've been designing web pages for a few years, just simple stuff, informational with pictures and text. I was just hired to create a website for a company and what they want is way over my head. I've never done any actual coding, I'm the WYSIWYG type of guy.

    This company wants the following:
    User registration for the website,
Usernames and Passwords for registered users,
    Live chat room,
    Discussion forums,
    Personal profile pages,
    Admin control panel for users.

Like I said this is WAYYYY more advanced than anything I've done in the past. I've using Dreamweaver 8 for my design. I have a server that can host PHP and MySQL pages.

Are there website templates I can buy? Is there free copy and paste codes for these types of things?

I hope I haven't bitten off more than I can chew on this one. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks everyone!

    Jeff

This has Drupal written all over it.

But it will be a huge learning curve for you.
I suggest you look into hiring a freelance programmer to take care of the programming,
and you take care of the design and templates. You'll have to hire a partner and
split the costs, or turn-down the job. This will not be anything close to WYSIWYG.
