    How do i add search local search feature to small 5-10 pages long site to search trough local site without using google or any other external searches?

    Searches are usually associated with databases ... where a database is used
    to store the content displayed on your page(s). It sounds like you have a
    site where you manually create you own static HTML pages?

    Describe some more about it, and give us a link to your site.

    Yes i just have my 4 pages site, that i haven't put up to the network yet. Is there some application to create database from my manually build html pages so i can use it for search?

    For a 4 page site surely the simplest way would be an index linked with 'destination anchors' or 'target'. You would most likely use a search if all pages were big and text intensive. Even still, the above would probably be the simplest way for only 4 pages, both from a construction and user viewpoint.

    By far the best way to add search and other extended functionality is by using a content management system which is simply a database. The great thing about a CMS is that it is totally customizable and extensible. You can add extensions like search, login forms, contact forms, and literally thousands of others to add functionality to your site. If your site is small, CMS would be a perfect solution that you could use to grow as you want or need to add content. Check out some of the other posts relating to content management systems like Joomla.
