    Hi,

I've just made a custom gallery for a client and in one part of it I have about 80 directories, In each directory there is an image which will be overwritten by the client. My problem is that I used any old image to put in as a placeholder and now I want to overwrite all the images with a proper 'insert image here' style graphic.

Within all the directories the image I want to replace is called image.jpg

Is there a way to automatically search the directory structure and overwrite everyfile that is called 'image.jpg' with a different file? similar to the text search and replace function.

    Thanks

    Yes, using PHP.

But I don't have time to write a script for that.
    Maybe someone else will reply.

    Thanks,

I guess it'd be quicker to just manually upload them all then and remember to put a suitable image in from the start next time

Or use a MySQL database for your gallery, not storing the images, but storing
the name of the image files, description, price, and where they appear.

And using PHP to dynamically display the web pages .... so only 1 script is
displaying every page on the website. Sort of like a template.
