...it's driving me nuts - I'm trying to identify the title font used on Leo Babauta's site zenhabits.net - it looks quite like the body font which is in the arial family but this looks skinnier than any arial font I could find online.

Can anyone help me identify it - is it available off the peg or has it maybe been specially commissioned and if I wanted the same done for a site how much would it cost me..... please help

    How about asking him?

    http://zenhabits.net/about/

Seems like a nice enough guy ... I'm sure he would tell you what it is.

I would try that - but there doesn't seem to be any email address for him or place to leave comments on the site.

You're right, he isn't taking any emails or comments. Very strange.

It's not Helvetica. The proportions are different - much rounder.

Chalet Paris 1960 looks like a match: http://www.houseind.com/fonts/chalet/viewfonts

    Definitely closer than Helvetica
