Look at my site please and tell me why the ad is moving downwards when I'm not supposed too!

Oh and in case you're wondering, I've given up on the slider for the time being and I'm going to get everything else working fine first.
Also, (a little bit of a different topic), how would I make a background?

I'm guessing you didn't clear a float somewhere.

You only need a parachute if you plan on skydiving twice.

I can't upload from my laptop to the web server in the garage so I can't upload it to the real shovenose.com (yes I bought the domain and I'm hosting the site myself)...
So you will have do make do with a screenshot :P
what is wrong now? (I put the middle (slider) div after the left (left) and right (ads) and it helped)...

Here's a neat little article on doctypes. You decide

Well, if you put the slider after the rest, nothing is wrong. That is exactly what should happen with that code.

Thanks, but How do I put the slider (currently represented by an image of Hardware Insights) up where it belongs instead of under the text?

Put if before #left, float it left, and float the #ads right. See if that works
