    Hey Guys!

For all of you who dont know me my name is Rob. You see I have had a problem, for quite a LONG time. I am a freelancer web developer on www.elance.com, and I have something to admit...

"I DONT HAVE A PORTFOLIO WEBSITE."

so should I have one? Is it look more professional? I just really need some tips, that might get me started on creating one If its a good idea.

Do you guys have any tutorial you know of that can help me?

On this porfolio I want to focus on:

    -Usability
    -Smoothness
    -Color Blend
    -Futuristic Look
-Easily Editable, and easy to add ratings or stuff to portfolio
    -Appeasable to the eye

So what do you think, do you guys think you can help me make this happen?

    <Thanks>SO MUCH</Thanks>

    Rob

What Ronald said. You already have the basic idea behind what you want. Now the next step is to break down what you need to do to get what you want and figure out which information you need that you don't already have.

Just one tip: Dont be a perfectionist with your own portfolio!

I think many of us have these problem that we create a design for our portfolio website and after 2 month we are tired of the existing design and create a new one. You should stick in your needs and goals and if you have done and tested it than let it online and dont work every free minut on it

Im just saying it because I know a huge amount of freelancers which change their portfolio every 2 month (I want so much time too!! )

What is the use of portfolio website? Do I need to buy my domain or subdomain is just fine. I thought at first that Facebook page can be a portfolio. But after reading several comments, I think I am wrong.

How can you use Facebook as a portfolio page? Do you add images and whatnot?

Many improvements are now integrated in Facebook. You can now create a website-like page with the full features of a website where you can embed images and videos as you like.
