Greets! So it seems editing and changing stuff around the tumblr blog that I've just opened isn't as simple as I initially thought. There are a load of nice themes and there is also a way to edit the page code manually. I like the default theme, changed a bit the colors and did some modifications, but I've got almost no HTML coding knowledge which makes it difficult for me to add some facebook social plugins to the blog. I experimented by simply copying and pasting code from guides around the web but the results were unsatisfying and I was not able to position the elements where I wanted, simply don't know how to do that. ops: I'm trying to add the facebook comment box at the end of the posts/articles (that I am going to write) and also a "Like" button. I am aware that there is already a plugin for the comment feature called DISQUS that is well adapted for the tumblr blogs but I like the facebook one more and since most of my readers are going to be friends that I've got on fb it might be the correct decision.

This is what I have on my mind:

    Things I'd like to achieve:
Add a fb comment box to the posts
Add a Like button to the front (main) page and to each post
Make the post title clickable (working as a link) ..the default theme does not have that functionality

I will give all the info needed and the page code too. I hope there is someone willing to help me, guess it's not very difficult to implement these things (hopefully). Oh and I will give proper credit

There are not many of us here who use Tumblr - I never have - but will look into it a bit.
It's been less than a day since you posted - have patience, someone may be able to help.

Thanks for replying. Should maybe mention that the blog is
    http://xerxa.tumblr.com/

    and the code is here:
    http://pastie.org/2439703

the link to the fb social plugins
    http://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/

I've done some image editing ..added the elements the way I'd like them to look like
basically I'd want a Like box (where you can see the people that liked the page) inserted in the white space:
    edit.jpg

I am not sure tho that you can get one like that in case you don't have a fb page for the blog, in that case I guess I'd be happy with a simpler solution:
    edit2.jpg

Oh and this is how I'd like to add the fb features to the posts
    edit3.jpg

and the last one which isn't very important ..making the titles clickable, i think those are called permalinks
    edit4.jpg

so I guess that's it, anyone up to the challenge?

Well, as far as I can see, the like box links back to your FB page, so if you don't have one it won't work.

    • See how many users already like this Page, and which of their friends like it too
    • Read recent posts from the Page
    • Like the Page with one click, without needing to visit the Page

Have you gone to https://developers.facebook.com/docs...gins/like-box/ where you can create and grab the code for the like box?
