I might be taking on in-house photography duties and I was wondering what people think should be some essential equipment for when I do shoots. So far I've got:

    -digital level
    -lint roller
    -squeeky toy

Any other suggestions which y'all feel are essential?

    Really good lighting.

I try to do most pictures in natural lighting, but when I can't I use some really good xenon ( light fixtures ) reflected off of some white difusers I made.

Some good neutral backdrop materials... When I do product shoots I try black, white or grey cloths... But I guess that's always dependent on the subject ( product ) and or client.

Once did some for a client.... Did a diffused spotlight ... In a pitch black room , and set the products on a half inch slab of dark grey marble... Turned out really nice, so nice one of their competitors did something eerily similar the next year. My client asked if I had done that for them ?
