    Hi All.

    My complete domain host has been hacked. And as all of my websites are Joomla....(about 15 of them) Uninstalling and reloading the complete domain is something I cant do.

    I have come across the .htaccess file (unfortunately have no idea about how it works)

    Does that look okay? is there a malware redirect there? www.frixel .co.uk seems to be infected now...<--that domain isnt even live yet!!! any help would be most appreciated. Im crying here!

    Code:
    RewriteEngine on

    # -FrontPage-
    <Limit GET POST>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    allow from all
    </Limit>
    <Limit PUT DELETE>
    order deny,allow
    deny from all
    </Limit>
    AuthUserFile /home/apollod4/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.pwd
    AuthGroupFile /home/apollod4/public_html/_vti_pvt/service.grp
    ErrorDocument 404 /404.shtml
    AuthName apollodesignstudios.co.uk
    IndexIgnore .htaccess */.??* *~ *# */HEADER* */README* */_vti*

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^apollodesignstudios.co.uk$ [OR]
    RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} ^www.apollodesignstudios.co.uk$
    RewriteRule ^/?$ "http\:\/\/www\.apollodesignstudios\.co\.uk\/site" [R=301,L]

    Check the email and see if there is some sort of number attached - an incident number or such. Who is your host, anyway?

    What about backups? Do you have any recent ones? Also, does your hosting company do periodic backups as a part of their service? Might be easier if it's possible.

    BTW, are Joomla sites easy to hack? I'm actually in the process of creating one.....

    Unfortunately No, i dont have any backups, neither do my hosting company...B**tards....

    Yes if you dont secure it they can be easy to hack yes. But there are extensions that will help secure it.

    Everything, all of my domains had been hacked. They changed the .htaccess file within the root as well as the Joomla domain folders to redirect to their rubbish site and use my address as a spam email pilot. Luckily its all fixed now.
