    I was wondering if anyone knew some good methods of getting traffic to a website? I still have loads of work to do on my site http://www.mediareviewzone.com but I would like to be increasing the traffic as I go. I have been doing most of the methods I already know such as;

    the meta tags and meta discriptions

    using header 1 for tittles

    no plagerism

    backlinks

    using mainly div tags

    registering with search engines

    I did all the above with my last site http://sosopoker.com but that was a poker affiliates site which the web is flooded with. That site was mainly just for learning and now needs a lot of work.

    If anyone has any suggestions for getting traffic to http://www.mediareviewzone.com it would be much appricated. Thanks for reading.

    Are the search engine indexing your site ?

    If not, none of the above really matter, if your site is not listed yet on the search engines , you'll see no traffic from them.

    One thing that many people do is find blogs about your site stuff ( you might consider starting one yourself ), with links back to your site... But making contributions to other blogs, forums, etc. Will possibly bring some traffic and get some backlinks in the process helping your overall rankings on the search engines.

    Although you will find no documentation on any search engines " sandbox policy ", it's a very well known fact that most search engines have them... Depending on your site, hosting provider and several other factors, it could be as little as 3 months or as long as 6 months before the pages they index start showing up in search results. Because spammers and malware sites were so successful in getting their sites listed, most search engines want to verify your site is legit before sending people there.

    Directories are another place to submit, but most don't want to list sites that are " under construction", again, they don't want to send traffic to a site that could potentially be a spam site.

    You would be much better off, at least giving the site the appearance that it is complete, build out the other sections as you go, but make the necessary site changes to give the site a completed look and feel.

    I would say there's not much more you can do that what you're doing now.
    Review sites are like poker sites ... saturated on the web.

    same problem with my company's site: myrender.com [active link removed per WDF posting rules]

    Our seo is great we just need more traffic from backlinks, etc.

    back links should help your site out a lot. the more links google or any other search engine see's that are to your site, the better.

    Do you know any good sites where I can find or create blogs. I have never used them before. I usually use bookmarks for backlinks but they don't seem to be too good.
