    Hello Everyone,

I recently downloaded Gimp, it's like photoshop only free, and I created a Website template based on a tutorial I viewed. My problem is I do not understand how I go from something I created in Gimp to a functional website. Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject? I would appreciate any help or pointers. Thanks!

The attached file is an .xcf extension with the template I created in it.

I think a good place to start would be on a Gimp forum.

if you made an image template in GIMP that's all it is - an image file.
You would make the website using HTML, PHP, CSS, etc.

My Grandpa uses GIMP. He loves it. So my question is, are you just trying to insert a single image into your website? Because the file you downloaded is not a jpg or bmp file which is a image file? Please let me know exactly what you are trying to do and I will try my best to help you.

You can just save as jpg into your images folder and then load it on to your website.

An article that explains slicing in Gimp.
