    Hi,

Im trying to create my own website (and rather obviously at the start line). I have seen a format that many people use and would like the same format with some tweaks but I cannot figure out how it is created.

I am guessing that it might possibly be a template on dreamweaver as its such a popular choice.
Would really appreciate any help with this.

Doesnt necessarily need to be a template, it's a simple structure with a jquery slider on the front page.

    2 column CSS layout

Actually I checked the source, and it looks like it's done in frames, with a javscript function to call the images from Flickr.

Much easier to do it the way Webzarus suggests.

many thanks to bothWebzarus and Amphamare for your quick replies, much appreciated...
I really am right at the start so will be trying this out with the aid of tutorials and books. I realise this seems insane but I feel it will be a long road ahead.
One more question would the following website be easier to achieve? http://www.lisesarfati.com/index.shtml

Both could be about the same as for a simple 2 column CSS layout.

Search the forums for the slideshow, but one I can think of mentioned numerous times is nivo slider.

Komposer is a wysiwyg editor, unless you dump the design view, you'll have trouble doing the CSS layout. Komposer does not display CSS properly.

If you're using it for code view only and previewing the page in the browser, ok.

Actually I just looked at it in dream. Its making more sense when I use both. But having probs with css. changed colours of text by pipetting colour samples using photoshop. I feel like areal beginner....so frustrating.

Did you manage to figure out what the she used to display her images??? it does not seem to be a slide show. http://www.lisesarfati.com/01photogr...dex.php?s=&n=4

    thanks x
