    Ok so here it is, ive read a few books on php but there is no way on earth i can do some of the crazy stuff web designers on here do using php...

    so what do you guys do different?

    What can i do to get better?

    Setup a test server, WAMP if you're runnin windows , LAMP if your running Linux, then start researching php, try some of the code,

    Download some scripts, see if you can tweak them, break them, etc...

    Everyone learns differently, some people learn better in the structured environment of a classroom, some learn better from books only, some learn better by trial and error.

    First you need to determine which method you learn best by, then follow it...

    Me personally, I learned by some books, but mainly trial and error and de-constructing others code to learn how to do things.... Still learning today.
