    Hi everyone,

I've been learning a lot on responsive design these past 4 months. I don't have a smart phone or mobile internet, so I've been using a poor man's smart phone: manually resizing my browser window. If you do responsive design, you'll know that this is only partially effective, because browsers compute some things differently and their interface is different as well (no hover and viewport, for example).

Recently, I found Opera Mobile Emulator, a godsend for me. This is actually showing you proper mobile view, with touchscreen and pop-up keyboard. This is not a crappy resized iframe like other iphone viewers you see on websites.

So, my question is what device do you think is important to test with? I don't know anything about smartphones, so at the moment, I am just testing with Galaxy S, because it's a name I've heard. No iPhone emulation unfortunately.

Do you happen to have an iPod Touch, or Kindle Fire?
It doesn't have to be a "smart phone" ... even a handheld
WiFi device or tablet is enough for screen testing.

Users are overwhelmingly using built in browsers on their phone. I really only test on those, but a look at your analytics will tell you what your visitors are using.
