I have a prospective client who wants a quote for a site which allows users to track how many books they have read. A user makes an account then has the ability to add the books they read to a list. A progress bar which counts to 1000 books is to appear above the list. On the homepage a combined list of user entered book titles appears to everyone.

The site needs to include searchable listings by zip/city/state for the locations where the program meets.
I have only done front end design with html/css/js and am in the process of learning php. What skills do I need to learn to implement the above functionality? How much would it cost to sub contract this part of the site out?

Other than that functionality the site is pretty basic with just a few other non-dynamic pages.

How much would you charge for a site like this?

    php and mysqli

I would say it would be around $200 worth of time for the user profile, database, and admin.

I would be interested in knowing more about the website itself.
Email me via the contact page on me catpin link below .. unless you are able to publicly show the site.
