    Hello Guys,

Please i need a lead on a project i am about to embark on. What happen is that i want to design a website for a firm that is into interior decorations. and the point is that i want it to be in such away that any user of the website that is interested can easily arrange is own design and forward it to us.

i believe that there is nothing that its not possible. i want to make use of joomla, i dont know if there is any extension that can get this done.

I will be glad if i can get a lead on this.

    thanks

Joomla is great for CMS and it's open source so there are a lot of plugins out there. however, it sounds like you want to build a website that allows for user interaction to redesign the way the site looks for themselves when they visit the site? If that's the case then there is no easy way to do this and I would recommend you build from scratch as you will struggle with Joomla. It will take some experience PHP and Javascript coding to allow for that kind of level of interaction.

    hey Julius,

Based on your concept, you'll need a custom browser-based app built with either Javascript + Canvas, Actionscript + Flash, Silverlight, or a Java Applet. I would suggest you go for the Canvas option for compatibility with iPads, and because the other 3 are dying technologies.

You're not going to get this done with Joomla; your concept requires a completely custom solution.

Set aside a budget of $15-25k to get a top-notch developer to build you a really nicely done website that will attract attention.

Anything less, you'll wind up with something kitschy and sub-par.

    Cheers.

I agree that this one is going to be expensive.
