I want to create my own website and just need a few
questions answered. I want to build a website where I can sell
instrumentals/beats that i make to people. I would have it linked to
pay-pal to carry out the buying process. I also want to have an about
me page and services page etc. I have a basic knowledge of HTML and I
am currently learning CSS. How difficult would it be to create a website
like this? Can I create a good looking website without a vast knowledge of HTML and CSS.

Here is an example of the type of site I would like to create.

If you google BeatsAvenue you will get a better idea of the site i want to create

    Thanks for reading.

A reply would be greatly appreciated.

You need extensive experience with php, javascripting, etc. Hire someone and possibly use wordpress or joomla.

The issue with your lack of experience, is there is more to creating a website where search engines can find and actually index your content AND a site that people would actually buy something from. 2 completely seperate things.

Sure with basic HTML and CSS knowledge, you can create a web site, but would it be attractive and appeasing enough that a potential customer will purchase from you.

And if you don't know enough about design and search engines, you may never get any traffic from search engines. Just because you put it out there, doesn't mean every search engine will find your site muh less, index it and put it where people are going to find you.

    Good luck
