    Hi all,
I already have a search box in my website, honestly I don't know how it was done as I was already here when I arrived. The thing is that I'm gonna add a new section to the website and I would like to add an specific search box which search only in this part of the website. Is that possible with a free tool? How?

    Thanks very much!

    Irene

Depends on who's actually providing the "search" functionality, if the script is local, perhaps you can filter the results to a particular section.

If you're using something like a google API for search of your site, then doubtful.

What WZ said. It depends on who or what created the search box and what type of site you have.

Google's search API could do it, if the section of the site contained something specific and unique in the URL (e.g. blue-widgets/) and you appended or prepended the inurl:blue-widgets/ operator to your query using Javascript. But that's tricky and you need a perfect storm of circumstances to make that happen.

Show us the site in question, and if you happen to know what it was built with, let us know that as well.
