Building a mobile site - do you have to use a template?

    Hi there,
I am building a mobile site and generally like to create my sites from scratch. However there seems to be many templates out there for building mobile sites.
Do I have to use a template to build a mobile site? Ok to build my own?
Or is it recommended to use a template for this simplified stuff?
    Any advice?

    Thank you in advance.

Build your own...you can customize it however you like (depending on your ability), and assuming you do it yourself, it'll be unique.

That's the only argument you'll ever need right there..."unique".

Agreed, if you have the ability, you should always create your own

Never been a big fan of templates for anything but a "learning experience"... and many of those were questionable.

You must use a template... how else are the template designers suppose to get paid?

    They could get real jobs.

    * awaits the inevitable backlash from the template community *
