    greek text.. say what now??

    hi, some of you might have seen my introduction thread, if not im new to the backend of the interweb and taking on a big undertaking.

    in delving into the depths of "web design for dummies" i came across a reference to greek text, said it was a helpful tool. but thats all that was said about it.
    it was on the html and css section of the book

    I believe they're talking about stuff like this: Lorem Ipsum - All the facts - Lipsum generator

    It's basically placeholder text you can use in mockups before you have real content to put in.

    ...except that the text is Latin, not Greek. If it were Greek, it'd look like the symbols on a frat house. As a Canadian, I'm a proud frat member of Tappa Mega Kegger.

    Yeah, I wasn't going to mention that the "greek text" isn't actually in the Greek language. I usually just call it "Lorem Ipsum" text.
