    What is happening?

    Hello everyone,

I have recently been seeing an influx of comments on only one page of my blog and they are starting to create a trend. First, I noticed that the comments were mainly coming from health related sites which has nothing to do with what my blog is about.

Later, I went back to edit a couple of things that were in the comments and I noticed that they all had a URL similar to domain.adsuse.com or domain.usabestads.com.

Does anyone have any thoughts or any input they want to share to help me out? This is starting to concern me and I don't want any issues to arise from this.

The link to the exact page is in the trackback URL

    Thank you guys

Are they being blocked by spam filters? If so, delete them and you've got nothing to worry about as far as the comments are concerned.

You only need to worry if they get approved.

This was the bulk of the spam comments I was getting on my site. Trying to sell Xanax or something. It's just spam garbage.

...but they don't always and they often annoy people. So they're a real balancing act.

The honeypot CAPTCHA works pretty well. 1 spam comment in almost a month vs 60-80 per day. And the best part is, real users don't even know it's there.

Is it important to allow comments on your blog? Maybe you can blog without comments?
