Create a website for a 3D printer at a high school

Hi, I am a 3D printing manager at a high school with a 3D printer. I am interested in making a website that will be able to accept files that students want to print. I want to be able to develop a queue, when they submitted the file, and a system to be able to let them know that the print has been completed. I also want to have a general website to describe our capabilities in terms of all the machines we have, their specs, and their brands. Our engineering department has a website called gsmstengineering.com, but we also have frc.gsmstengineering.com. Can I use our existing system and make design.gsmstengineering.com? What would be the best way to do this? Wordpress? Something else? I am new to websites and web development, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

WordPress + a form plugin that accepts file uploads is what I would do. Without getting too complicated, the "system" for notifying that a print has been completed could simply be an email.

Being in WordPress, it'll also be easy to set up other pages with more information on your capabilities, etc.
