Looking for a FREE web host (5GB at least)

    Hello, everyone

I have just designed some site (of about 835 MB) ,so what is the best FREE web host (using a sub-domain) that supports a storage size of 5 GB or more? I know this is WEIRD and it's so hard to find a free web host company that can give a disk space of 5 GB ,but actually my site won't be less than 4 GB.

Why does it have to be "free"?

You can get a real website for $40.

You've spent more than that already on the time you've taken to look for a free webhost.
If you have something important enough to put onto the internet, $40 is too much to spend? Really?

I'm guessing we're talking to someone fairly young who may not have a way (credit card) to purchase the hosting.

Ask yourself this question...why would any host accommodate that request? If you've got 4GB worth of stuff and we assume a rough 20:1 bandwidth per byte ratio per month, that's 80GB of bandwidth / month your site is serving. Even with bandwidth prices dropping, that's quite a bit to expect for nothing.

Not only that, you've built something that's already 835MB in size and no less than 4GB total. That implies some sort of a file-sharing or some other site involving a lot of larger files, which will take up more bandwidth to serve. I'm not sure what kind of a site you're running, but I'd suggest that it's far too large in size to expect free hosting. Most free hosts (what few are left, anyway) want to serve static HTML and maybe PHP without MySQL or some other weird restrictions but that's it. They have bandwidth, CPU usage, and other resources to consider.

So either pay for it, get your parents to pay for it if you're too young as Ron suggested, or scrap the idea.
If I've helped you out in any way, please pay it forward. My wife and I are walking for Autism Speaks. Please donate, and thanks.
