    Help for a simple site

I need some help please to get started on a simple website. I am very familiar with MS Office and Adobe, which I use for work, but I now have a new requirement. I have a new contract that I will have people within a few organizations to basically leave me their name and e-mail in my database. We are talking about 200 people, roughly.

I need a site that will allow a person to log on, click register, and go to another screen and leave name and e-mail address only. That is it. It would be nice if the site sent a return e-mail but that is not necessary.

I have already registered for a domain, and I can figure out how to design the front page, but that is as far as I can get, despite all the reading on web site design.

Does anybody have any idea on where I should look, or what my next step should be.

    Appreciate it,

Your next step is "development". It's not a design's pure programming. Depending on your server and what it does/doesn't allow, you'll have choices such as PHP, ASP.Net, ASP, and the much less common Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, etc.

Here's a code sample for a newsletter signup form in PHP, which is the most likely of the languages available to you. It's not quite the same as what you're doing, but it's similar enough:
If I've helped you out in any way, please pay it forward. My wife and I are walking for Autism Speaks. Please donate, and thanks.

If someone helped you out, be sure to "Like" their post and/or help them in kind. The "Like" link is on the bottom right of each post, beside the "Share" link.

If someone registers and logs-in, they can then add multiple names and emails to the list?

    Is that how it works?

if not, why wouldn't the registration be the only step?
